Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We have been breeding for over a decade.  We started with Labrador Retrievers and moved to the Standard Poodle because we needed a hypoallergenic pet due to one of our kids' severe dog allergies. We are a part of the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T program, which only accepts breeders who have a goal towards bettering the breed they are involved with.

Yes.  We have our dogs DNA tested for health and genetic diseases common to the breed.  Every puppy is different, but we guarantee that they will not have genetic diseases associated with the breed.  We have every puppy examined by a veterinarian before they go home.  This exam is for general health prior to going home.  All puppies will receive their first vaccination and have been de-wormed regularly. We use Embark as our DNA service, and we specifically bred for dogs with healthy hips and elbows. Our dogs are clear by parentage but we are working on getting current clearances for them.

We have found that between 8 weeks and 10 weeks is the ideal time.  This gives them time to wean and socialize.

We use ENS (early neurological stimulation) from Day 1 to Day 14. We keep them with the mom until about 6 weeks when we wean them.  We have children and a very active home where the puppies are engaged frequently as they get older, and are around a variety of other dogs and people.
